Sub-Surface Dams built by Friends of Kitui in 2006/2007

A Sub-Surface Dam is a simple structure which retains water in the sand and silt which builds up on the upstream side of the dam wall during times of flood
Friends of Kitui supported five Sub-Surface dam projects in the years 2006/2007.These projects have been fully costed and subjected to technical and financial assessment by the Water Department of the Diocese of Kitui.
